Lately, a lot of people have been raving about macarons, a petite, delicate French pastry. I am so upset I haven`t had the privilege of tasting one before! D:
I lived in Europe for 10 years and have been to France probably 5 times, but never got even one little nibble of these puppies! I have now made it my life`s goal to have one! I definitely plan on experimenting and making some beginners flavors this summer, but I really hope to get some at a bakery sometime soon!
Pictured above are some macarons from Pierre Hermé, a French baker who is renown for his creative treats. Just listen to some of these flavors that come in the "Makeup Artist" box set of 12:
*INFINIMENT CARAMEL- Salted-Butter Caramel
*CARAQUILLO - Chocolate, Coffee & Aniseed
*HUILE D`OLIVE À LA MANDARINE - Olive Oil with Mandarin Orange
*CRÈME BRÛLÉE - Vanillas & Caramel bits
*MAHOGANY - Salted-Butter Caramel, Coconut & Mango compote
*INFINIMENT CHOCOLAT PORCELANA - Pure Origin Venezuela Porcelana Dark Chocolate
Wehhhhh! They all sound so delicious and creative! You can actually have this set and other sets of pasties delivered to you from the Pierre Hermé website (http://pierreherme.com), but they are very expensive! This set of 12 macarons is 28 Euros!
Have you tried macarons before?
Do they taste as good as the hype?
