For me, whenever I go to buffets I must stop at their veggie island. And it`s not for the fresh veggies. It`s mainly for the pickled turnips and carrots. I just must have some at the end of my meal. I like the crunchiness and sweet and tart taste. Definitely a great snack too cause you will get full after snacking on a handful of this stuff. It`s great paired with sushi too, well for me at least. But most of the time I just eat it by itself. I remember my mom makes the best one and I can never replicate it. I tried though, I think the issue is that I might not be adding enough sugar cause mine turn out more tarte than I want but they are still pretty good. These are even found in Vietnamese sandwiches which I always pick out and eat first. I was craving some so I had just made some and they were pretty much ready to eat on the 2nd day of letting it marinade.
