Physicians Formula Matte Quad REVIEW

Hello Ladies :)
Today I have a review for you all on Physicians Formula matte eyeshadow quad in:
"Canyon Classics"

I got these with my huge Physicians Formula haul that you can see here:

***Quick Note; I have not tried many matte shadows so I do not have much to compare them to.

Pros:

♦ I am going to be honest with you guys. I did not have high hopes for this quad. I have never before tried matte shadows because I had the assumption that they were all chalky and gross. I know, I know I should not have jumped to conclusions, because these shadows have an AMAZING formula! They are creamy and honestly go on better than shimmery shadows. I feel like the consistency is also terrific. I honestly could not ask for a better formula.

♦ Another great pro about these shadows is the pigmentation. I am positive that you guys can tell from the swatches that the color pay off is amazing but seriously each of the swatches is just one light swipe. So can you imagine what a couple swipes with a brush will do?!!? Pretty amazing right! ;)

♦ One issue I have with A LOT of drugstore eye shadows is that they crease. But I do not have the money to buy high end shadows very often and I have yet to find an amazing primer. (I have found some that help but they cant make shadows last 7 hours...and no I have not yet tried out UDPP). So I was thrilled when I tried these out, with no primer, and they lasted for about 6 hours without creasing! So after school if I have something going on I can just fix it up with the handy dandy little mirror in the package...

♦ Speaking of the package :) it is also def. a pro! The packaging is very simple. Its just plastic but it looks like it would almost be metal. But what I love is the glass cutout on the top so that you can see the shadows AND it has a mirror in it. (hence the cutout not a full clear top so that it can also have the mirror on the inside)
I also love the way that it opens...you just press the little button on the outside edge and the lid is released! I hate packages where you have to dig your nails into it and stuff to attempt to get it open!

Cons:

♦ The only one little con I have with these shadows is the fallout. I still believe the formula is amazing but it does have quite a bit of fall out!
Of course this is not too difficult to take care of. I do my eye make-up first everyday no matter which shadows I am using so that I can easily clear off the fallout and move on with my make-up routine.

Randoms:

♦ The two medium browns look very similar on the swatches but in real life there is a distinctive difference.
The lighter color is almost flesh shade. Great for the inner corner.
The other is a more drastic brown. It is terrific for the outer corner but I think its still a bit too light to use a crease color...

♦ It is initially about $6 and comes with 6.3 grams of product...and a terrible applicator, like every quad ever ;)

Overall I would repurchase this quad.

Thanks for reading
xoxo
