Is a fan of smartphones and Lego? Then learn the concept behind the Phonebloks, or modular smartphones that can be mounted to your liking
The Phonebloks is a concept designed by Dave Hakkens, Dutch designer, which allows you to create your own customized smartphone without necessarily having to throw away when it becomes disposable or exceeded.
How? Making the mobile phone or smartphone an object modular, so that part of it is broken - as the headphone jack, for example - it is easy to replace it with a new one without sacrificing the rest of the device. Besides being more economical, because it requires the user to buy a new device, it is also more environmentally friendly by reducing the amount of waste.
The idea, however, has its challenges: the approach could appeal to lovers of Lego, but can never move forward without capturing the interest or motivate support from the major manufacturers of smartphones in the market.
