I purchased this Physicians Formula Powder Foundation with an SPF of 50 from CVS during a sale for 75% off, so it was just a little over $3.00! Physicians Formula is my favorite drugstore brand, but it can be very expensive when its not on sale, so I always wait for CVS extra bucks, sales, and coupons to purchase them, otherwise its really not worth the money.
This powder foundation has an SPF of 50, but I still put on an actual SPF moisturizer before using it because Im not so sure how well the powder SPF itself would protect my skin. I alternate between Physicians Formula tinted moisturizer and this powder foundation and sometimes Ill use both. I use the tinted moisturizer when I want a more dewy look, when Im going to the beach, and just for days where Ill be outdoors more. Then I use the powder foundation when Im going to class and more indoor activities because it has a nice matte finish. I think the tinted moisturizer looks better outdoors and the powder foundation looks better indoors, its just the difference with natural and indoor lighting. The powder foundation has equal coverage to the tinted moisturizer, and they are both light coverage, so if you have spots or pimples to conceal, youll definitely want to use a concealer.
The packaging of this is really cute, its an orange compact with a pink ribbon. On the inside theres a mirror and the bottom opens up to a pink sponge applicator. I really love the quality of the sponge applicator because its reuseable, I can wash it after a few uses, and it continues working, unlike other drugstore compacts that give you a cheap applicator that only lasts for a 4-5 uses before you just have to throw it away.
When you purchase this, youre going to want to get it in a shade lighter than what you would normally get because they are darker.
