I had picked up 2 similar periwinkle shades from Essie, and realized they were also a bit like a Butter London polish I owned, and so I decided to do a comparative swatch of the 3 together.
The polishes featured in this comparison from left to right:
Essie Lapiz of Luxury
Butter London Sprog
Essie Bikini So Teeny
Essie`s Lapiz of Luxury is the darkest out of the 3 shades, and has the most indigo-tinge to it, while Essie`s Bikini so Teeny is lightest, and more of a true periwinke. BL`s Sprog is more similar to Bikini so Teeny, just a bit darker.
For all 3 swatches, 1 coat is shown. In terms of opacity, Lapiz of Luxury is the least opaque and has a lot of visible sheer patches. Both Sprog and Bikini so Teeny are pretty much fully opaque with one coat. The lack of pigmentation of Lapiz of Luxury can be attributed to the fact that it is super runny and has the thinnest formula of the 3. Sprog and Bikini so teeny on the other hand have about equally smooth and thick formulas.
I wouldn`t say that any of the shades are dupes for one another, however Sprog and Bikini so Teeny are somewhat close, however Sprog is a bit darker. It wouldn`t be a big deal not to own both, but if you are a fan of blue than it wouldn`t hurt to own both considering they are different enough.
Lapiz of Luxury is even more different from the other two, however I wouldn`t recommend it because of the super thin formula. I ended up returning it after the first swatch.
I hope you found this swatch and comparison helpful!
So do you own any of these 3 polishes? Do you have a more similar dupe for either of these shades?
