Since Spring 2012, I have been a huge fan of the rose gold trend. It`s a gorgeous, feminine color that adds that allure of glamour to every style. For those of you who are not aware, rose gold is gold and copper alloy. It is also known as pink gold and red gold. It was popular in Russia at the beginning of the nineteenth century, and it is also known as Russian gold, but the term is now obsolete. The difference between red, rose, and pink gold is the copper content. The higher the copper content, the stronger the red coloration.
My first rose gold item was a rose gold Michael Kors watch my boyfriend gave me for our two year anniversary. And my most recent rose gold item is Penny Talk from Essie. I had been eyeing this color for about a month because I was unsure for how it would look on me (I have a very fair skin complexion). My go-to colors are pinks and fushias because they work well with my skin tone and are my favorite colors. But today I bit the bullet and bought and I don`t regret my choice in the least. The color is lovely as it is pictured above and it exceeded my expectations. I only used one coat and the polish dried fairly quick. The polish has a fantastic metallic mirror finish, even before I put on a top coat. I love this color and it goes nicely when I wear my rose gold Michael Kors watch. Those of you who are rose gold fans like me should definitely give Penny Talk a chance.
