Today the punishments were declared for Pen State after the investigation involving Jerry Sandusky. This included vacating wins, including bowl games. They also slapped a ban on the team 4 years from bowl play. They were stripped 20 scholarships and fined 60 million dollars. They also are allowing freshman to transfer from the school who committed for football. Not to mention the removal of Joe Paterno`s statue from campus. I think the penalties are way to harsh, given the people involved are not there anymore. Why hurt the program when new kids are trying to build a dream for
themselves there. Now if they want to stay they have no hope to play in bowl games. If they leave now they must re-adjust plans to go to a different school.
