Last Friday, my work had a Halloween Jamboree and one of the stands were selling these peanut caramel apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. My co-worker was ranting that these are delicious caramel apples and you have to try them because normally they run for $7 bucks but at the event these were only $2 bucks each!
I ended up purchasing 2 peanut caramel apples for my family and I. For dessert this evening we finally cut up a peanut caramel apple to try!
~ The apple was quite large
~ The apple was sour which balanced with the caramel and peanuts
Verdict: I am not a fan of eating apples let alone apple with skin but having the caramel and peanuts makes eating apples fun (not the healthiest) but it was delicious! I am glad I bought these apples ~ I can`t wait to eat the last apple tomorrow for a treat after dinner.
**Since the holidays are around the corner these are from do it yourself project too if you plan on making a bunch to gift away**
Description from the website:
We take a large, crisp Granny Smith apple, dip it in thick, gooey caramel, then roll it in fresh roasted chopped peanuts for a great combination of favors and textures.
