Pea Pesto Attempt is Successful!

Last week, my sister made delicious pea pesto crostini appetizers so I wanted to recreate the pea pesto! I am horrible at following recipes but there are only 6 ingredients, I don`t think I can fail at that right? (Recipe courtesy of Giada De Laurentiis and linked below). Right, the outcome was successful. The consistency and color was exactly like my sisters. Taste was on point - not exactly the same as I have a different food processor but close enough!

I originally wanted to eat the pea pesto with toasted baguette bread but I didn`t have any, so the next best are crackers! I bought these Blue Diamond Almonds Artisan Nut Thins crafted with brown rice, almonds and multi-seeds from Sprouts. These crackers claim to provide 21g of whole grain goodness, wheat & gluten free and natural! I believe a box was $3.50. Then I decided to be unique and added baked tuna steak on top of the pea pesto/crackers. Eating the pesto and crackers was good enough too! The baked tuna was just marinated with dash of salt and pepper then baked in the oven until cooked.

Overall: My little appetizer ordeal worked out and my parents/boyfriend enjoyed it! If you`re a fan of pesto, I highly recommend the recipe from Giada De Laurentiis - it`s so good!
