Images belong to me
This is my second time to the Los Angles County Museum of Art this week. I had to visit the Children of the Plumed Serpent exhibit for an art project. I actually went there last Tuesday, and sadly I forgot to do one of the requirements so I went back today. It was my first time there ever and I`m pretty amazed by it. I`ve been to the Getty`s Museum and I don`t know which museum is better. lol Maybe if I actually spent time going to every building, but I was in a rush. I think LACMA is a pretty interesting place if you love art and history. I absolutely love their building structures--very extravagant for me.
Remember that whole huge rock being transported across the county? Now it`s at LACMA and the exhibition is under construction. If you look at the second image, you`ll see it, but the rock is protected by something. I can`t wait to see how the whole exhibit looks like. That rock is pretty huge. It`s called the Levitated Mass.
My favorite part of the visit is the Metropolis II by Christ Burden (last image). It was sooooooooo amazing! Like seriously, I recommend you all to go take a look. It`s actually a motion-moving work of art. I did record it in motion, but I didn`t want to upload it. It`s only in motion certain days and times, so I was lucky enough to visit it when it was in motion. My favorite one.
General Admission is $15. If you`re a student, it`s $10 w/ ID. If you`re under 18 & a member of LACMA then it`s FREE. They have great food trucks parked just across from LACMA. Parking is $10, unless you park in the 2-hr parking (metered) or lucky to find free neighborhood parking.
This museum is a MUST-visit! At least once! :D
