Payless Shoe Haul from NYC
I was recently in NY/NJ for my cousin`s wedding. I had flown in a few days early so I could help with the wedding preparations.
While I was in NY, I also planned on doing a little shopping if and when I got the chance.
One of things I needed was a pair of shoes to go with the dress I planned on wearing. I bought a floor-length taupe coloured dress with beading at the waist and a slit in the middle, but I wasn`t sure what shoes to wear with it (I never posted about the dress, but if you guys would like, I can do a post on the dress too!). I have a pair of patent nude heels, which were going to be the back-ups, but I was hoping to find something that matched a little better.
So when our wedding errands took us to the mall one day, I decided to hop into Payless Shoes to see if I could find something appropriate. In my head, I was thinking at the worst, I could get some pewter gladiators, since that would complement the beading on the dress. Instead, I found a pair of nude wedges the exact same colour as my dress. I was shocked since the colour was so dead on! They also were on sale for 9 bucks! I was shocked. Though I would have preferred something open-toed for the summer wedding, how could I turn down 9 dollar shoes? I figured even if I did find something open-toed (which I didn`t -I wore these shoes in the end), these would be great for fall, to wear to work or otherwise.
I also noticed an amazing pair of Yellow sandals. They have criss-crossed elasticized bands and a stiletto heel. I was instantly drawn to them, and tried them on. As I was wearing them and checking out some of the other selections, I got 3 other customers telling me how great the shoes looked. I was already in love, but those 3 people sealed the deal for me! They were 31 dollars, which is not bad at all! I`m not sure where I will wear them, or with what, but they are amazing!
The best past was, Payless was having a sale with everything being an extra 25% off, so I ended up paying less than 40 bucks for both pairs! :D
I love a good deal, and I always find great shoes when I go shopping in the US.
