One of the best traditional treats for me, and many others, is what we call here "pastel de nata" and that you might now as egg tart.
This is a traditional Portuguese cake that is made with mostly egg yolks and flaky pastry. There is also "pastel de Belem" that are similar to this but not the same.
I haven`t had them in so long and today we got some that were just coming out of the oven at the bakery and who can`t say no to these, especially out of the oven?! lol I like it simple but i also like to add cinnamon, so i ended up eating half of it normal and half with cinnamon lol
They were a bit burnt on the top, which is not my favorite but it comes out easily and the batch was almost all like this anyways, but still good.
