My entire family recently upgraded phones. Since my parents` aren`t much of a data user, they settled with just basic phones. AT&T is very limited with basic phones. My dad wanted a more "high" tech basic phone, but not yet a smartphone so I got him the Pantech Renue.
Features of the phone:
3 MP camera, you have the ability to take photos/videos. Put in a micro sd to hold more photos/videos
3.2" touch screen with slide out QWERTY keyboard
AT&T Navigator for extra
You can add data too but it`s not required like the smart phone
The phone is straight forward easy to use.
The camera quality isn`t all that great but it works
The battery life isn`t as long as anticipated
Overall: Not bad for a phone that is "basic". The phone to upgrade at AT&T is $49.99 plus tax (tax off the originally MSRP price of $219.99) but I was able to get this phone for $33.99 at Radio Shack. For upgrade it was $9.99 plus sales tax of the MSRP.
If you`re someone whose looking for an "alright" basic phone and with AT&T, this may be a reasonable phone to consider especially if you`re into texting also. But you don`t even need to open the keyboard to have full function of the phone.
Photo belongs to me!
