I love to fry things. If would fry everything if I could. LOL However, that`s super unhealthy and I try to moderate my intake of fried food. But it`s that time of the month and my craving for fried crunchy goodness is crazier than ever.
I didnt have much in my fridge so I made some Panko shrimp and fried green tomatoes that I bought from the farmers market. It`s actually very simple to make.
What you need:
Shrimp (or whatever you want to fry)
Seasoning (garlic powder, salt, pepper, etc) to sprinkle on the shrimp
1 egg beaten
Panko bread crumbs
All purpose flour (season it with salt, pepper, etc too)
After seasoning my shrimp, i dredged it in the all purpose flour. After it`s coated, I put in the egg wash and into the panko bread crumbs. Lastly, I just fried it in canola oil (medium-high) until golden brown).
Do you like fried food? What kind? I know it`s unhealthy, but we can splurge once in a while right? LOL I`ll just keep telling myself that.
