This lovely bread was purchased a few weeks ago when I went home to visit my family in Oregon. This bread is similar to those Hawaiian rolls found in any stores. They have similar texture in taste, although I think the Hawaiian rolls are a bit more softer and slightly sweeter. My parents used get these rolls from the Asian market to give to my sisters and I as snacks. I have to say with this purchase of pandan rolls, I was a bit disappointed in them because they didn`t have the same texture or was it really soft like I had remember them being and there wasn`t much flavor to it. I don`t regret purchasing this because it brought back memories of eating this, but I wished it was as good as it was back then.
Pandan is mostly found in Asian desserts or pastries and has a light flavor like coconut in my opinion. You will often find green pandan leaves or juices in the frozen section in the Asian market. I love eating anything that has pandan in it because of the bright green it gives. It`s such a pretty color.
Q:Tried you anything that as pandan flavoring?
