**Sadly, I claim this horribly taken cell phone picture as my own. Photo description is at the end of the post.**
Number one, I would like to say thank you to everyone who read and left feedback on my first post. I had no idea anyone would find it. And I`ve already made 2 new friends here!
I think I`m going to like this place. Everyone seems so friendly!
Now here`s something that doesn`t make me rage! My Pacifica haul came recently. I came across this brand through Sephora. I read a synopsis about the company and it sounded pretty interesting. Founder Brook-Harvey Taylor has traveled the world with her family to find unique fragrances and links a personal memory to each scent. Pacifica is known for their natural perfumes and their bath and body line, but you can also buy candles and diffusers so your home will smell nice, too! Plus everything Pacifica makes is cruelty-free and vegan-friendly.
I bought the Tuscan Blood Orange body wash and body butter through Sephora`s website. I had $40 worth of items and I wanted free shipping. Both items were travel-sized and were $5 each, so it worked out perfectly! When my package came in the mail, I immediately tried out the body butter and I was so impressed by its quality. My skin felt so soft afterwards and the citrus-berry scent was heavenly! Pacifica`s body butters are made with essential oils, extracts, and shea + mango butters. My dry skin looks and feels amazing now. The sulfate-free body wash was just okay, but the butter really convinced me. I wanted to see what else Pacifica had to offer.
After visiting the official site, I ended up buying the Custom Value Soap Set where you can pick six soaps in a variety of fragrances. I figured the bar soaps were a good way to experience the different scents, plus they last longer than body washes. I also got another box of soap and three mini body butters. I knew what to expect with the body butters so I wasn`t disappointed at all. The soaps are really nice. They`re made with vegetable glycerin, herbs (you can see them in the soap itself), and essential oils. It rinses clean, leaving only a light fragrance on your skin. When I layered on the body butter the scent intensified a bit more, but not like I doused myself in perfume. I`m currently using the Island Vanilla soap and body butter and it`s just wonderful! This doesn`t smell like the vanilla you would usually expect from Bath and Body Works or Vanilla Musk. It`s natural, yet warm and comforting. You could wear this all year round. The soap smells a bit spicy, but I like it. I would consider it as a unisex scent. The body butter is a bit more sweet, kind of like a vanilla buttercream. I also smell a bit of marshmallow but that`s probably just me. It feels smooth going on and it`s not greasy. On the Pacifica website, the mini butters are 2.5 oz / 73mL and cost $7, while the full tubes are 8 oz / 236 mL and cost $18. I may invest in a full tube pretty soon because I am loving the results. I think it`s worth it. The 6 oz / 170 g soaps are $6 each. With the value set, you`ll get enough to last you a while. I plan to use the Hawaiian Ruby Guava soap and body butter next (and I`ll post a review!). It smells quite good, but I want to know how it works with my body chemistry. I also plan to try the spray perfume and solid perfumes someday.
I`m a bit of a risk-taker when it comes to things like this, but I`m happy with what I purchased. If you want to experience Pacifica for yourself, I would suggest going with the value collections first. You get great deals on the website, but there`s a store locator in case you`re not much of an online shopper. Test out the different scents and see what you like best. You may get addicted like I am!
Are you a fan of this brand? What`s your favorite scent?
