The much talked about Oscar Pistorius trial has reached an end for now. The South African Paralympic runner had been accused of shooting his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, in their home in South Africa of Valentines Day. He had spent a week in custody, but the magistrate put him on bail of 73000 pounds. This sentence caused the Pistorius family and friends to cheer in the courtroom, in front of the family of Reeva. When the judge said that he shot his girlfriend, he burst into tears, but when he was let go on bail, he had no reaction.
The question is, what story are we to believe? Did he think his girlfriend was an intruder and shoot her in the toilet in their home at 2am (the story with the bigger explanation, but the one that was more suspicious) or did he just shoot her without reason (the one that is more believable but is more strange, as the couple were `deeply in love`)?
I think it was very rude for the Pistorius family to cheer in front of Steenkamp as he was the murderer of their family member, so it was very disrespectful towards her family.
What do you think: did he get what he deserved or should he get locked away?
