I signed up for Bzzagent a while ago but never selected for any campaigns...until now! I got a coupon for a free loaf of Oroweat Healthfull bread and a couple of coupons. I went over to my local Ralphs and picked up a pack. There were a couple of different flavors but I ended up picking up the 10 grain since it looked the tastiest.
I wanted to try using the bread for different things aside from sandwiches so I looked through the fridge to see what was available. I was going to make pasta to for dinner so I decided to make some garlic toast with the bread. It came out very tasty. The bread toasted up nicely and the grains gave the toast a nice oat-y taste. Plus the sweetness of the bread went great with the salty garlic butter.
The next thing I made was Hong Kong French toast or eggy toast. I just cracked a couple of eggs and added in some milk and whipped it all together. The bread soaked up the mix nicely and I threw it on the skillet. After they were done I poured some syrup and dug in. The bread was crisp on the edges but very fluffy in the middle. It soaked in the syrup so every bite was delicious! There was once again a nice oat-y taste which was nice with the syrup.
I also made sandwiches with the bread, but didn`t get a chance to take pictures of that. Overall I was quite surprised with how tasty the bread was. I`m not normally a huge healthy bread person since it all taste like cardboard to me. This was had a nice sweetness to it and was very fluffy. It tasted great with some peanut butter too. I`m sure that anything you can add to bread would taste amazing on this. I`m definitely going to pick up some more once I run out!
