A couple nights ago for dinner, I decided to take advantage of the plethora of healthy and organic foods in my refrigerator. I had some organic romaine lettuce, organic (and locally-grown!!) blueberries, and also some organic strawberries. So I put them all together in a salad and it was delicious!!
The only `bad` part about this salad was the dressing - it was a strawberry balsamic dressing and probably not all that healthy, haha. But I`m pretty sure the contents of the salad itself made up for it :)
Yes, organic foods can sometimes be more expensive (particularly if you buy them from a big-name store like Whole Foods, but they can also be super duper cheap if you buy from a farmers` market or stand) but in my opinion, my health is worth it. I want my body to be clean, not overloaded with chemicals and processed lord-knows-what. You end up feeling much better on the inside and outside! :)
