Cupcakes are one of my favorite desserts (anything could easily become my favorite dessert) and oreos are one of the world`s best cookies, so I decided to combine my 2 favorite things into one delicious treat! That way, I could have the best of both worlds!
(I know how unhealthy this is, but.. it`s good. Plus I`m young and love to run so it all balances out lol!)
Making this delicious treat is fairly simple. All you need to do is to make the cupcakes first. To do that, I used some regular cupcake mix and followed the instructions on the back including all the baking time and stuff. After they finished baking, I took them out and I let them cool off so that I could frost them without the frosting melting.
For my cupcakes, I made chocolate ones, so I decided to use chocolate homemade frosting using sugar and butter and coco.
After frosting your cupcakes, you need to quickly take an oreo , frost the bottom with some frosting like glue, and stick it right on the cupcake. Let it set for a few minutes and then take a piping bag filled with more frosting (I used a yellow colored one) and pipe it around the cookie on the cupcake so that it looks kinda like a flower. When you are done piping, your cupcakes are ready to be eaten.
If you are like me and like your cupcakes cold, you can toss them in the refrigerator or freezer (freezing cupcakes is so good!) for a few hours and then eat them! The oreos taste delicious and provide a great compliment to the cupcakes and frosting!
Are you a fan of oreos?
