Colour Club Yellow and Orange Sunset Nails
I recently did a post about a haul from Winners featuring the Colour Poptastic Collection. Well, sorta. If you got a chance to see that post, youd know that while the packaging said it was the Poptastic Collection, the polishes in the package were actually not the ones in the original collection. If you have seen pictures of the original collection and my haul here: http://www.luuux.com/health-beauty/haul-colour-club-poptastic-collection, then youll know what Im talking about. The problem is, the individual polishes dont have names on them so I dont really know what each polish is named...
Either way, Ive still been enjoying the bright neon shades. I already did a review of the orange polish that you can see HERE: http://www.luuux.com/health-beauty/wham-pow-color-club-0?front
This time, I wanted to try something a little different, so I decided to place around with the ombre sort of look. But rather than use similar shades progressing from light to dark, I decided to use the yellow and the orange instead and see what kind of design I could come up with!
I mentioned in my first review that these colours, like true neons are a little sheer, so to help the colour stand out a little brighter, I did a thin coat of a white polish underneath. You can sort of tell that I was in a bit of a rush doing my nails, since the white polish is peeking through near the cuticles.
After the white, I layered on the yellow and it definitely helped it look much more vivid! The create the orange ombre look, I took some of the orange polish, and dabbed it on a piece of paper. Next, using a make up sponge, I picked up a little bit of the orange polish and dabbed it near the tips of my nails.
I think the final look almost remind you of a sunset, dont you think? I really liked the way this turned out, and got so many compliments from my friends and even from complete strangers standing in line at the bank and the grocery store LOL.
What do you guys think of this look? Have you tried the ombre inspired look yet?
