The demand for shatter polishes went up within the last year because of the hype around them and it seems that every nail polish brand out there now has some version of the shatter polish regardless of whatever new name they gave it.
This is OPI`s White Shatter polish that I borrowed from my friend. She paired it with a metallic gold, and I paired it with a metallic blue. I think that the white and gold combination is nice, but it doesn`t work so well for the blue. This shatter polish didn`t really shatter or crackle on my nails in the way I thought it would. It looks like strands of spider webs on my nail, and not in a cool effect either. I tried applying a thin coat and a thin coat, but no matter which way I did it, it didn`t shatter very well. I also tried applying it in short strokes and then again on another nail in longer faster strokes. Regardless of the amount or technique I used to apply it, it didn`t change the outcome by much.
I had no interest in the shatter polishes since the beginning, got a little sucked into the black shatter over a bright blue, but after actually trying these, I don`t think they`re worth the hype.
