Everyone went crazy for the OPI Teenage Dream polish. I fell in love with it, too. It really is a beautiful polish. But then it didn`t join the core collection and people were left still looking for it. Or, there were those who wanted it but didn`t want to spend the amount that an OPI would run them. Either way, another company was sure to catch drift of the popularity of this polish and try their hand at creating it. The first brand I`ve seen do that is.... MILANI! They just put out some more One Coat Glitters and this one was part of that. It is called Pink Flare. This is a dang good dupe! Wouldn`t you say? Honestly, the
only difference I was able to detect (appearance wise) is the sheer base color that all those beautiful glitters are swimming in. The Milani version is a teeny, tiny bit deeper in its coloring and leans a touch cooler. Once on the nails, however, it is nearly impossible to tell which one is which. Can you tell which is which? In these photos I am wearing both polishes alternated across the nails. Do you see any real difference? Okay, okay, I`ll tell ya! On my index and ring fingers I am wearing OPI Teenage Dream. On my middle and pinky fingers I am wearing Milani Pink Flare. I did notice a difference in formulation. The OPI applies much smoother and glides onto the nail with extreme ease. The milani one was a bit thicker and has the potential to be in the semi-gloopy category. If I added some polish thinner that would solve the problem, but I did want to take note of any differences that stood from the point of purchase and original condition of the two. So what do you think? Would you consider Milani to be a fair dupe? Do you own either (or both) of these polishes? I`d love to hear your thoughts.
