I Eat Mainely Lobster is a color that I have been looking at to wear for quite some time. I am trying to work my way through my untrieds and this one has been calling to me. This is from OPI`s 2011 Autumn collection: Touring America. It is a coral shimmer polish. The shimmers in it are pink and gold. Saying that, the shimmers are nearly impossible to see once painted onto the nails. You can see them nicely in the bottle and I had hoped that would translate to the nails but it really doesn`t. The only time I really see them is in direct sunlight and even then they aren`t wild and crazy. I Eat Mainly Lobster applied like a dream. It was smooth and didn`t create any ugly patches or streaks. It flowed on with ease and I only did a second coat to intensify the color, not because I had to cover skipping. I wish all of my polishes would apply so perfectly. Every time I use an OPI I am reminded just how much I love the pro-wide brushes they have. For me, they make application even easier and give a cleaner finish. That is one of those areas, though, that you love the brush or you can`t stand it. I think a big part is the size of the nail bed. Personally, I feel that this polish, while a brighter coral, can be worn into the office without feeling like you have something loud on. I think it still gives a classy feel to the hands.
