Hi everyone! I cant believe I got my hands on the Spiderman Collection early! This collection is to be released next month, but somehow I found it. How? Well, I was at the other end of the city today and decided to kill some time. While killing some time, I stumbled across this random salon. I had no intention of going inside, but what caught my attention was the Spiderman Collection displayed out front. I was surprised that they had it, since most collections here in Canada are released weeks later than the US. Even the salon I usually go to have told me that this collection wont be in till the middle or end of May. Being the polish addict that I am, I literally ran into the salon to see if my eyes were playing tricks on me. And they werent!
Right as I walked in, I saw a sign that said: OPI Buy 2 Get 1 Free! This was perfect since I only wanted 2 of the polishes from the Spiderman Collection. But the hard part was finding what polish I wanted for free. I noticed at this salon, they had many previous collections such as Katy Perry, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc. Since I mostly have what I wanted from those previous collections, I questioned whether I wanted to just get another polish from the Spiderman Collection. But chose not to when I saw the Designer Series Collection. I dont own a single polish from that collection, so I knew I had to pick one up. It was so hard to choose which one I wanted, since they are all so gorgeous!
Here is what I picked up (Left to Right):
-OPI Designer Series Mystery ($16): Dark purple based polish with gold flecks. Unlike any other dark polish I own! Would be a great colour for the colder months.
-OPI Just Spotted the Lizard ($13): This is a gold/green and blue/teal duochrome. The finish is metallic. Absolutely gorgeous! Many bloggers have said that this is a dupe for Chanel Péridot. I cant really tell you if it is, since I dont own it. But from the swatches, it sure looks like a dupe!
-OPI Number One Nemesis ($13): This is a shimmer polish made up of grey/green flecks. Some bloggers have said that this is a dupe for Chanel Graphite. Again, I dont own it. From the swatches, I believe they are quite similar, but not the same.
So of course for the OPI deal, I would get the cheaper polish for free. So I paid $16 + $13 = $29 and I saved $13! So basically each polish is $10 (standard price for a bottle at my local salon). Which is not bad at all for the OPI DS Mystery since it costs $16 at most salons. Overall, I would probably not go to that salon again since their polishes are $3 more per a bottle than my local salon. Talk about over price much! I would go again if I were desperate for a new collection, since they somehow have it before every other salon O_o But in the end, I am super happy to get my hand on the Spiderman Collection early!
Are you going to pick up any of the polishes from the Spiderman Collection? Which ones do you want?
