The Australian e-commerce site Kogan presents itself as the first to charge a fee to customers who use Internet Explorer 7 to access the service. The amount intended to offset the costs incurred to keep the site compatible with the obsolete version of Microsoft`s browser.
Thus, as a way to encourage customers to upgrade their browsers to latest versions, the company announced it is to charge a fee of 6.8% on all products purchased by users of IE 7.
