I recently placed a huge order with Old Navy, and I wanted to share with you all the items I got.
When I do these online hauls, it`s easier to just compile the pictures from the website since you get to see everything I bought a lot clearer. I got all the pictures from OldNavy.ca.
They recently had one of their common 30% off sales online, with an extra discount on clearance items.
Checking out the clearance section, I found quite a few items with heavy discounts. First, I noticed a camel coloured wool blend pea-coat that was on sale for 12.99! It bought 2 wool blend coats from Old Navy 2 years ago, and I still wear them all the time, so I couldn`t pass this up. It seems that almost all the coats I wear are from Old Navy, but you would never be able to tell! With the extra discount, this was just over 10 dollars!
I also spotted this military inspired khaki jacket - I`ve been wanting something like this for spring for so long, but I`ve never found anything I liked. This has a tie at the waist that can make it look more feminine so I added it to my cart as well. It was around 18 dollars
I also noticed a black `parka` jacket. I haven`t owned a parka style coat since I usually like to wear the wool-blend coats I was talking about (they are more tailored looking and work appropriate). But living in Canada, I realized that I can`t go wrong with a parka for weekends and the like. I like that again, it has a belted waist for a more feminine look. This was around 30 dollars and probably the most expensive item in my haul (which is not bad at all).
I also decided to take advantage of the sale to buy some of my favourite yoga pants! I`m really tall, and finding yoga pants with a long enough inseam can be a challenge, but Old Navy has a `tall` option online making them perfect for me! The yoga pants are great since they are boot cut, so I even tuck them into my boots and wear them as leggings. They are much thicker, so you don`t have that annoying issue of your bright coloured undies showing! ;)
I bought a pair in black and in grey for 20 bucks each!
I also picked out 2 cardigan for work - a `boyfriend` style buttoned cardi in a dark forest green (only $7.99 with the discount), and a navy blue open front cardi (20 dollars).
Also for work, I picked out some skinny pants. Most of my work pants are straight cut, which gives me a strange `MC Hammer` look when I tuck them into my winter boots - not attractive!. I bought a pair in black for around 18 dollars, and a pair in off-white that were severely discounted for only 8 bucks. I actually know why the white pair was so cheap - they are really see-through! I may return them, since I don`t think I can wear them :S
Another thing I will be returning is the sweater dress I picked out. It was only around 10 dollars with the discount, but it just isn`t flattering. It`s a little too short for me to wear as a dress, but too long to wear just sweater.
Actually, all the sweater I picked out in this haul are going back to the store. The black v-neck sweater in the bottom right corner of the picture also wasn`t very flattering. The sleeves were too loose and it wasn`t flattering, so I will be taking it back to the store and getting my 18 dollars back.
I will be keeping the 2 long sleeve shirts I picked out, however! I got a dark grey scoop neck for under 5 bucks and the black v-neck for under 6 bucks! These items are great for layering!
Last, but not least, I -reordered one of my favorite pairs of jeans in a new wash. I love the Sweetheart, boot-cut jeans since I can order them in a tall length and they are really flattering. I already own them in a regular denim wash, and this time I ordered a darker denim colour. These were also on sale and were under 19 dollars with the discount!
I ended up with A LOT of great staple items for this seemingly never ending winter, but also pieces that will work for spring (once it finally gets here!)
