Hi everyone! This is just a quick post about a tiny CVS haul that I did in late July one day. I had a couple dollars in ExtraCare Bucks (ECB) from previous purchases and they were about to expire so I popped into CVS either on my day off or after work to see if there was anything I wanted to try. The thing with buying a lot of makeup, nail polish or really anything for that matter, is that you may eventually reach a point where there is A) nothing new you want to try or B) nothing you need. I walked around CVS picking things up and putting them back because I was having internal conversations about how much I really need ANOTHER foundation, powder, blush, eyeshadow, etc. So I finally passed by the nail polishes and this particular polish jumped out at me. This is the shade Stroke of Brilliance and it came out with the Luxeffects collection but the strange thing was I don`t remember seeing this shade when they were initially released. I know there was a rose gold/pink glitter, a gold glitter, a white flakie and some other shades, but I really don`t remember seeing this purple glitter shade. (o.O) Stroke of Brilliance is a really beautiful grape purple glitter suspended in a clear or clear purple base. (There`s so much glitter in it I can`t really tell) I figured this would be a good purchase because there`s nothing like this in my collection, plus I had the ECBs. These are normally $8 at CVS but after my ECBs I only paid about $1.70 (tax included) for this polish! That is probably the cheapest Essie polish I will ever get. Right after purchasing this polish I did a NOTD, so stay tuned for that one! Thanks for reading! Have you seen/tried this polish? Was I being blind or was this really MIA when Luxeffects was released? All images and content are my own.
