Hi everyone! So I recently went on a Wet n Wild spree over the past couple weeks due to some really good deals, and I`ve been patiently waiting for my nails to grow out so I could try these new polishes out. This first shade that I tried is On a Trip, which is a creme finish medium bright purple. I`m actually not sure how to describe this purple and I even asked my mom and she was stumped. It`s probably why I was attracted to the shade in the first place.
Price & Availability - $1.99 - Available where Wet n Wild is sold
Shade & Finish - creme finish - bright, medium purple?
Type of brush - Flat paddle with rounded edges which are supposed to help coat the area near the cuticles. They call it the ManiCurve Pro Brush.
How many coats? - 2 for complete opacity - The first coat was streaky and uneven
Pros - Cheap - Easy to find/widely available - Opaque in two coats - Formula was pretty easy to work with - Lots of colors in the line and I think they are all creme finishes
Neutrals - The brush: I do find the curves do help to apply near the nail bed, but they are not cut nice and evenly so you can have bristles sticking out
Cons - Formula might be a little thick, but you can thin it out with some polish thinner
Overall This is one of the funnest purples I own because it`s not a pastel, jeweltone or dark. I`ve worn this shade for about 6 days and there is some minor tip wear and some chips but I did work in the backyard on Sunday. If you missed out on this past BOGO FREE Wet n Wild sale at CVS, don`t worry because there is going to be another BOGO FREE sale NEXT WEEK! Thanks for reading!
