Hi everyone! Currently I`m wearing Essie`s Mochacino on my nails, and while this color doesn`t exactly scream SUMMER, I felt like wearing this shade. Has that ever happened to you? Mochacino is a really pretty grey toned shade with lots of silver shimmer. I think this shade can look a little different depending on the light and angle. A lot of times it just looks like a grey, sometimes it looks grey-brown and other times is looks purple-grey (a la Metro Chic but with shimmer). This is definitely NOT a one coater polish. The first coat applies extremely streaky and unevenly. I don`t know if all of the Mochacino polishes are the same, but mine was particularly runny, so I had to be careful with how much product was on my brush before applying otherwise it would have pooled up around my cuticles. A second coat definitely makes it look better, but depending on how uneven your first coat was, the second coat may not give complete opacity. When I hold my nails to the light I can still see streaks on the nails that only had two coats. I would definitely recommend three coats if you want full opacity and no streaks. The polish is pretty thin because it`s so runny, so it`s not really a problem. I`ve been wearing this polish for more than a week and I only have very minor tip wear right now. Since this has been on my nails for so long, there`s actually a gap between my cuticles and where I had originally applied the polish. Definitely a good polish to wear if you don`t want to switch it up too often. Thanks for reading! What do you think about this shade? All images and content are my own.
