Ombre Glitters

Hey guys! So I`ve been noticing this ombre glitter trend going on lately, and I wanted to try it! I wanted to do two contrasting colors rather than similar colors just to add some pop and color blocking to my nails :) Hope you guys like it!
What I Used: - China Glaze Four Leaf Clover - Julep Oscar
What I Think: - Four Leaf Clover: In the bottle, this polish looks a lot more blue toned. On my nails, it shows up for green. I have to say, I like the color more in the bottle, but both are really bright and fun! This color is super pigmented and really easy to apply. I have to mention though, this is the only polish I own that still slightly stains my nails even with a base coat. - Oscar: This is a gorgeous golden sparkle color from Julep. I think these are pretty pricey ($14.00), but I got a deal for buy one get one FREE. The glitters are pretty fine, and they go on nicely!
What I Did: - I first applied a base coat. I would recommend using a base coat even if you don`t paint your nails often because they protect your nails from the chemicals and from staining. Even with a base coat, some nail polishes can still stain your nails. - I then applied two coats of Four Leaf Clover. I always like to apply two coats of polish no matter how opaque they are :) - I then applied a light coat of the glitters all over the nail. - After that layer dried, I applied a heavier coat on the top 1/3 of the nails to give it that ombre effect. - To keep your nail lasting long, make sure to leave them to dry for at least 20-30 mins. It sounds like a long time, but trust me, after completing a really cute manni, the last thing you want is to smudge it! - For long wearing, apply a top coat!
