Watching the women`s gymnastics prelims at the Olympics yesterday in primetime, I saw something super shocking!
Jordyn Wieber, reigning world champion did not qualify for the all-around. She was two tenths of a point shy from competing. Only two people from each nation can compete.
I am happy for Aly Raisman & Gabby Douglas, they competed incredibly. But Jordyn was definitely scored unfairly on her floor routine. She had a tiny step out of bound while Gabby stepped out with a big gap and a few steps. If you watched both routines, you can see how unfair that was.
I`m happy that many people like Bela Karolyi & her coach noticed & stood up for her. She really deserves a shot & hopefully something is done. Jordyn, after losing & hard as it was, got herself together & did an interview. Such class.
I strongly believe that Jordyn should be able to compete in the all around. She`s one of the best & can get USA gold.
