Olive Garden Breadsticks

Okay so its recipe time! And I just want to say these are my favorite breadsticks in the world! If youve never been to an Olive Garden then you have to make these so you can try them! Here we go...

2 tablespoons granulated sugar
3/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
1 cup plus 1 tablespoon warm water (105 to 115 degrees F)
16 ounces bread flour (3 cups)
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened

On top:
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

1.) Put the yeast and the sugar in the warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes or until it becomes foamy on top.

2.) Combine salt and flour in a large bowl and then mix the butter into the mixture with a large mixing spoon.

3.) When the yeast mixture is foamy combine it with the flour mixture. Now put it in a stand mixer and mix for about 10 minutes...If you dont have a stand mixer knead it by hand on a countertop for about 10 minutes.

4.) Now put the dough in a covered bowl or container and let it sit for about an hour to an hour and a half, or until doubles in size.

5.) Once the dough has doubled pull out 2-ounce portions and roll between your hands until you have 7 inch sticks.

6.) Put the sticks on a parchment paper lined baking sheets. Cover them up again and set aside for another hour to hour and a half, or until the dough doubles in size again.

7.) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Farenheit. Once heated bake the the breadsticks for about 12 minutes or until they are golden brown.

8.) Immediately after the breadsticks come out of the oven brush the top of all of them with some melted butter and sprinkle them with some garlic salt.

9.) ENJOY!!!**Makes 12- 13 breadsticks**
