Found this small restaurant in a tiny pocket of Downtown Toronto.
Currently one of the only places you can get okonomiyaki in Toronto. Mind you, it`s not that authentic, according to my Japanese friends, even though it`s owned and run by Japanese people. They tailor the food to the Western palate.
But it was really good nonetheless. A bit on the pricey side, because it does cost $7.99 each and you pay $1.50 extra for bonito flakes and dried seaweed. However, it`s worth it, especially for the once in a while indulgences.
Okonomiyaki is a savory Japanese pancake made with wheat, lettuce, eggs and some form of protein, such as seafood, bacon or chicken. Usually, they put takoyaki sauce on top and give you a dallop of mayo.
It looks small but it fills you right up.
Highly recommended =).
