Halloween is almost here, which means we are in full blown HOLIDAY SWING! WOOHOO! That can only mean, this is my October favorites post. You`ll be able to tell that I am 100% in autumn colors mode. We had a few weird days with quite warm weather (which made me grumpy) but we had some FANTASTIC cooler days. (LOVE!!!!!)
I don`t know why, but I want to start with the cheek products. There are three this month. Two of them are powders and one is a gel stain. The top left blush is my new Sonia Kashuk blush. It IS new, I won`t deny that. I have worn it a lot since I bought it, though, and enjoy it every single time. To the right of that is a MAC blush that I won a while back in a giveaway that Martha (BklynQueen here on Luuux). It is in the color Dirty Plum. I was scared to death of wearing this blush for a long time so it just sat in my blush drawer looking pretty in its box. I pulled it out this month and LIGHTLY brushed it on. I only need the tiniest bit or it will turn from pretty and flushed to sucker punched in the face and bruised looking. Not cute. I use a stippling brush that isn`t very dense. The last is a Pixi stain. It is in the color Rosy. I love that this looks natural when applied lightly. It doesn`t take much to get a perfect blush. It is extremely easy to work with, too.
On to my lip products. I have several here. I can`t help it. Next to nail polish I just adore lip color. The top gloss is by Urban Decay and it is in the color Kirk. I like to pair this with the next product: the L`Oreal lipstick in Sheer Linen. Those two combined are a perfect nude lip for me. I like to wear those when I do a more bold eye. Again in my favorites are some of the Revlon Balm stains. I adore those lippies. They are in the colors Romantic and Adore. Some days I want a brighter red and others something a bit more deep. The next is a balm. This remains as my all time favorite lip moisturizer. It is the Jack Black lip balm. The last product for lips is a Revlon gloss. It is in the color Spice It Up. It is bold and rich in coloring, but not scary or too out there. I appreciate that as it wears off it doesn`t look patchy or leave random flecks of glitter hanging awkwardly.
My next small grouping is skin. The first product is my fragrance I have been reaching for. This is something that isn`t new.....I`m not even certain they still carry it. It was from their Breathe collection of scents. This particular one is Sensual Amber. When I first put it on it can be a bit strong but as it settles in it becomes creamy almost and cozy. The second is my foundation. I haven`t used it the entire month as it is also a relatively new product. Again, I`m really enjoying it so felt it should be featured. It is the Revlon Colorstay foundation for combo/oily skin. My shade is Buff. It was an accident that I picked this one up. It had been misplaced and stuck in the ivory slot...however it was a mistake that worked out for the best. This is a perfect match for me.
Next up is eyes! Most days I go pretty natural/neutral but this month I have been playing up the colors of autumn and wearing richer shades. This is the main set of shadows I have been wearing. They are the Wet n Wild trio in the shade Knock on Wood. I do have to mix a matte highlight in, but otherwise this is amazing. On my lazy days I wear this next thing. It is the extremely popular Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Beige. LOVE THIS! They need to make it permanent. Seriously. I have a back up, for which I am thankful, but don`t want to ever run out. I have tried to switch up my mascara a bit. The one I have been trying to use up is the Rimmel Sexy Curves. I have one eye with lashes that don`t like to curl up very nicely so they`re always a fight. This mascara works well to push them up so they fan out all pretty-like.
I believe that is it! Well, Happy Halloween everyone (I know it is on Wednesday...but no harm in wishing it early). Now on to November, even cooler weather, and THANKSGIVING! OM NOM NOM NOM!
