Almost a year a ago, a good friend of mine, MyFairPrincess Sparks, gave me this NYX Winter in Moscow Smokey Look palette as a gift. And I guess, its about time I make a review on it. So here we go.
This is a handbook sized folding palette that contains a mirror, 2 blushes and five lip glosses on one side; the other side contains 14 eyeshadows .
The eyeshadows in this palette come in a multitude of shades that can range from cool to warm, pink beige to purple tinged to various silver and grey eyeshadows of different depths and shades. Suffice it to say, that you could easily do many smokey-eye makeup combinations. I can honestly say that these are pretty good quality eyeshadows: very pigmented, soft in texture.
The 2 blushes are gorgeous coral shades, might I say neutral peachy pinks. One of them has some shimmer in it, and the second one is matte. Either way, I absolutely love them both.
What I dont like very much are the lip glosses. They have a gummy vaseliney texture, which give me a strange feeling when applied on the lips.. I dont like the way they feel at all, despite the cute colors they come in.
Another thing I don t like is the fact that the plastic divider between the eyeshadows and the blushes and lip colors is way too loose. It slides around, so the powder from the eyeshadows falls out into the lipglosses and the blushes.
Overall, I like this pallete and I think it makes a lovely gift for someone dear to you!
