I really wanted to try one of these having heard so much about them and their unique formula. Here are some of my thoughts on it:
Packaging: Can I just say how much I love that soft, matte black cap? I actually love the way NYX packages products.
Color: Antwerp is a gorgeous bright coral-pink. I feel the need to tone it down a bit because it`s a little too bright for me to wear.
Formula: Dreamy, like whipped cream. It goes on pretty opaque which I really like and dries to a matte but soft finish.
Application: I hated the brush the first few times I used it. I just could not get an even application with it! Even dabbing the product on my lips with my fingers didn`t work. In end, I learned to use the brush in a downward swiping motion with a light hand to get the most even application.
Wear: This does not wear long at all. It wipes off so easily, without a mess. I don`t have the confidence to wear this out if I`m planning to eat or drink.
Overall</ strong>: My upper lip is darker than my lower lip. I find that with this formula I can not get a full even coverage without my natural lip color showing through. I`m definitely going to need a lip liner and/or a lip erase for a cleaner look.
For the price, it`s a little high maintenance in that I have to keep checking to see if it`s worn off or needs touching up. I don`t have a problem with it settling into lines like other people have experienced... if your lips are moisturized and exfoliated then you`re good to go.
I would probably try a couple more shades just to try them out but I doubt I would repurchase any of them.
