A few months ago I was selected to receive a Beauty Blogger box from Influenster. If you`re not familiar with Influenster it`s a site where you write reviews and fill out questionnaires to unlock badges for a chance to get selected to participate in a vox box program. In my Beauty Blogger I received this NYC eyeshadow compact to review and I must say I`m pretty impressed. This palette turned out so much better than I thought it would. For it to be so cheap (around $4.99) the quality and pigmentation is very nice. You get 4 dark shadows to help create the perfect smokey look. There`s two gray shades, a light cream and a a black shadow. All of them are a bit frosty which is pretty but I do prefer to use matte shadows for my crease and highlight. NYC manages to make up for the lack of mattes by including a nice flesh toned primer and shimmery cream highlighter. Both worked very well and had a very nice texture. Definitely a nice addition for a drugstore palette! As I mentioned earlier the shadows were very pigmented and felt pretty silky. Even without primer I had no problem getting these to show up. The included primer worked pretty well. It helped make the shadows pop a bit more and I didn`t experience any creasing or fading while using it. Both highlights were way too light for my skin tone so I prefer to use them to brighten my inner eye area. I really like it this way. Overall, this is a really nice palette! It`s very affordable and the quality is surprisingly nice. I definitely recommend!
