For my nails this week, I wore Revlon`s Minted. I got a little bored seeing it plain so I added a little gold dot on each finger.
I have a bit of a love hate relationship with this particular shade. I mean this was something I actually repurchased and usually repurchases are a good thing right? Well in my case no...I know this sounds a little odd but maybe I`ll just get straight into the love/hate part of it and you`ll get where I`m going with this...
The love is basically the color. For a mint, this one is not too green nor too blue which I love. I`ve seen many brands coming out with a mint and sometimes the hue just goes over a bit that it often borderlines some type of aqua/robin/turquoise hue.
As for the hate, this is dedicated to the ultra crap of a formula. For one, it`s quite watery and what does that mean? Streaks streaks streaks! Luckily, you can work around that but it requires your time and patience. Another thing is air bubbles. If you look closely at the pictures, you can see little dots and in real life, they look even worst, really bumpy and uneven.
To conclude, when I first purchased this, I thought maybe I bought a dud considering how much rave this nail polish has gotten which is why I considered getting this the second time. Ugh, was I wrong. I guess I`ll have to stick with this for now until I can get another mint polish but luckily I didn`t pay full price (I had a $3 off coupon & it ended up being $0.99, woop!)
Have you tried Revlon Minted? How did the formulation work for you?
