Or at least that`s what it`s supposed to be.
I came across a photo of someone`s nail art (can`t remember who) who had the map of the world on her fingertips (literally? lol). I fell in love with this idea so I had to try it out.
I gotta say I really like it but I don`t think anyone else can make out what`s on my nails. It just looks like a random pattern. It`s supposed to be the full map (what I could fit) on my nails when I put tough the tips together, palms facing each other.
The polishes I used were:
- L.A. Colors base coat-top coat
- Rimmel London Lasting Finish Pro in Midnight Blue
- Avon SpeedDry+ in Limeade
- Sinful Colors in Snow Me White
- Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
I used the base/top coat as a base then the Rimmel polish. I only used one coat. Then I painted/stippled the Avon polish in the shape of the continents, or at least tried to. I used a map for reference but it`s no where near accurate. Then I added some white near my left hand cuticles to show the arctic.
Finally I used a metallic teal very lightly to make the ocean dimensional but you can`t even see it.
It started chipping pretty quickly though...it lasted a day unchipped. As much as I like the Seche Vite top coat I think it makes it easier to chip.
