Before I begin I just want to say that my nails are fierce! FIERCE!!! I am really loving the turnout. These are different, edgy, and scream fashion!
I would love to say that I came up with the idea, but that would be a lie. I`m on a site called Pinterest were people upload either their own images, or link a blog or a site where they love an image. While there I always check the beauty section. Lots of the ladies there posts beautiful nail looks. One day I stumbled upon one similar to these. The ones I saw were a black base with gold bullions.
I was quickly intrigued and looked up how they done. Seemed pretty simple enough. Out I went to try and find some bullions (tiny beads). I thought for sure I was out of luck when I searched the nail decor section at Sally`s and didn`t see them. I figured I would just keep looking. To my surprise there was another nail decor section. Quite silly if you ask me. Keep them together! Anyhow, I found the bullions. They didn`t have gold, but silver was fine.
I decided I wasn`t happy with how the bullion would look against black so I chose a dark grey. I used CG`s Concrete Catwalk. I 1st applied CG`s strong adhesion base coat. I ten went over with CC. I used 2 coats to make sure there were no streaks. That was the easy part. I then went in with the bullions. I swiped one coat of the strong adhesion. While still wet I used a toothpick to place the bullions on. I would dip the toothpick in the adhesion coat and pick up a bullion. You don`t have to dip for each bullion. Otherwise you may never get it off the toothpick. I applied the bullions how I thought they would look good. Move on to the next nail. After my nails were done, I went to the very 1st nail I completed and used a top coat of Seche Vite. You don`t want to apply it so quickly after applying the bullions cause you want to make sure they stay in place.
I have gotten so many compliments on these nails. These are certainly a look a will do more often. Ok, not more often but maybe if I head to Vegas again.
I hope you all enjoy this look! Do you like these? Is this something you would do to your nails?
