The last time I did my nails was right before I went to Mexico, which was a good 3-4 weeks ago. My nails looked HORRIBLE but I was too lazy to re-do them, plus I started school so all of my nail polish was back at home. Since I`m back at home for the weekend, I decided it was the perfect time to paint my nails.
I decided to use one of the polishes that I picked up a couple of weeks ago. I ended up picking out Essie`s Haute As Hello. From the bottle, it looks like a nice coral color. It doesn`t exactly go with the change in seasons, but I really wanted to use it. I started with a coat of Seche Vite base coat and then went on with the actual polish.
I was quite dissapointed with the formula. The polish looked like it would be slightly opaque but it was EXTREMELY sheer. I had to use about three coats and even then, the coverage was slightly spotty. Despite the crappy formula, I really liked the color pay off. It`s a very pretty neon orange/coral color. It looks extra bright since my skin has gotten tanner over the summer.
Despite loving the color, I would not recommend this polish. There are plenty of good polishes with better formulas and a color close to this. I think this is the first Essie polish that I`ve been dissapointed in. So do any of you have this polish? Is the formula of yours weird too?
