NOTD: Valentine`s With a Twist

I wanted to do my nails in the typical Valentine`s Day pink, but I decided I wanted to make it a little different this year! So I painted my accent nail periwinkle blue. It`s nothing too radical, but I love the way the cream shades contrast with each other but still coordinate well. I`m loving the simplicity and colorfulness of this look and I hope you all do too!

The pink polish is from the Love and Beauty line at Forever 21 (I love these polishes, it`s so hard to leave the store without them because they`re less than $3!). I`ve had it for about two years (so I`m not sure if they sell it anywhere) but it is a bright, true pink that is such good quality that I only use one coat and it is perfectly opaque with no streaking! If you spot this at your local F21, it is definitely worth the money.

The second polish is from Kiko Cosmetics. The label doesn`t have a shade name, but I believe the number in the corner ("338") might correspond to the shade. This polish is also very opaque, and I usually use two coats for complete streak-free coverage. It is a periwinkle shade that leans more towards blue rather than purple. Kiko Cosmetics is a European cosmetics brand based in Italy that currently does not ship to the US. :( But, it is available in several European countries including the UK. I picked this color up when I was in Paris this past summer and hopefully they will ship to the U.S. before I run out of this stuff or else I will cry!! But if not, a close dupe to this shade is Deborah Lippman Let`s Hear It for the Boy (from the Footloose collection).

Anyway, I also used the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polish in Invisible as my base coat and my Out the Door fast drying top coat.

Hope you all like this NOTD!
