This time, I used my Sally Hansen Salon Effect Nail Strips in Twinkle Bell. I was really excited about using these nail strips because it was my first time and they looked so gorgeous. I knew I could have done a similar design on my nails, but it was half off, so I decided, why not??
Here`s my review on the Sally Hansen Salon Effect Nail Strip in Twinkle Bell:
What the box says:
- Lasts up to 10 days
- No dry time
- Peel and apply
- Fits all nails
- Remove with nail polish remover
What it comes with:
- 16 nail strips
- 1 cuticle stick
- 1 mini file & buffer
- Instruction booklet
I thought buying it for 50% off at $5 was an extremely good deal, but someone commented on one of my hauls that I could find some for $3.50! Plus, Ulta sells Sally Hansen Salon Effect Nail Strips for so expensive... $10! I found other places selling these for $8.50. I think that buying these nail strips daily would be expensive because you can buy nail polish for that much and get many more uses out of it. But if you are going to an event and don`t want to spend a lot of money going to the nail salon, then these would save you a lot of money. It all depends on your situation, I guess, but buying these on sale is a score!
These actually didn`t chip at all the whole time I had them on, which was 6 days. I could have worn them longer, but I was getting really tired of them. I was dying to use my new nail polishes. The box says that they last up to 10 days, but I think if you weren`t rough with your nails, you could definitely have them on much longer.
At first I didn`t like how it looked on my nails when I applied the nail strips on. I thought the color was way too metallic, but my sister and boyfriend really liked it, so I grew to like it too. It was very flashy and blingy and in-yo-face. It looked different from when I saw it in the packaging..
OMG. Applying it was somewhat difficult. The nail strip was thin, so it was tricky putting it right on the edge of your cuticle sometimes. But with practice it got better. You get 16 nail strips for 10 of your nails, so you get to mess up sometimes. The hardest part was getting of the excess. But after the first few times it got easy.
Would I repurchase?
Yes! At first I hated these, but after it got easy, I was like, I love these! When I felt the nail strip, I thought that it wasn`t that sticky and wouldn`t hold onto my nails, but it did!
