I`m not sure how I feel about this manicure. It didn`t turn out how I had envisioned. I had decided to step a bit outside of my comfort zone a bit and combine wild colors, non-traditional tips, and try out an image from the new Bundle Monster plates. The result? A hodge-podge that looks like a craft project gone wrong. I started with a base of Studio M. Neon Caution. (2 coats) Then I applied some Seche Vite to help it dry faster so I could move on to the designs and such. Once it was dry I taped off my tips with some Scotch brand tape that I had cut with craft scissors to give it the wavy shape. I alternated the sides of the tape so some were pointed waves and others were rounded off. I painted the tips of my index, middle, and pinky finger in Studio M. Infusion. The thumb and ring fingers were painted with Studio M. Lightening Blue. Because these dry down matte, they cure quickly. Afte a couple of moments they were dry and it was safe for me to stamp. I chose Bundle Monster plate BM-309. I stamped using Sinful Colors Black On Black and flipped the direction of the flip-flops on each nail. I sealed in the design with a coat of Seche Vite. So you can see, it is a bit haphazard and too busy for the eye. It just doesn`t feel tied in together I suppose. It gave me a good idea of how that particular image will stamp, but as for the whole manicure, I`m just not feeling it. I kind of feel like I`m falling into a slump again. I`ve not been entirely satisfied with several of my manicures of recent. Perhaps I just need to sit down and put a bit more thought into my manicures and not just pull out colors and wing it. The finished result would probably be better, lol!
