Im pretty excited about this post. Dont my nails look fabulous?! This was actually the first time I tried these Salon Effects nail polish strips. Its called Kitty, Kitty. I think its a cute design, and would go well paired with a solid black dress.
For starters, the packaging was very nice. A nail filer and a wooden cuticle pusher are provided with the nail strips. There are 16 strips although 1 strip is enough for two nails. Since it was my first time, I realized that a bit late and ended up using 10 whole separate strips. You have to make sure to stick them on super-fast because the stickiness does wear away. Also, they do tend to clump on the end of your nail if you press too hard. To avoid that, make sure to start pressing from the center of your nail and go downwards.
After I was done, I felt like I came out of a salon! Theyre just so pretty to look at! Hehe. It was actually pretty funny when I first washed my hands after putting these strips on. I was so afraid that theyd peel off and fall into the sink. To my surprise, they were stuck like glue!
Here are a few tips if youre trying them for the first time:
1. Take your time shaping your nails and pushing back your cuticles.
2. Do NOT stretch the strips.
3. Make sure you use remover on your nail and wipe them super-clean.
4. Before you start applying them, test out which ones to use on which nail (saves time!)
