If you saw my recent haul post, then you know how excited I was to find `Black Tie` from Sally Hansen. It is one of the shades in their Diamond Strength line. I have a few other shades from the line, but this was my first time trying one of them. I really liked the brush. It wasn`t huge, but it wasn`t super small either. It had a perfectly cut flat bottom that made it really easy to paint.
This has a gorgeous duochrome, but unfortunately, it doesn`t show up as well in pictures as it does in real life. I think it`s gorgeous! It mainly shifts from a dark purple to a dark teal. In my opinion, it`s like the darker, more jewel-toned version of Zoya `Adina,` which I also love.
The formula was perfect. I used two coats, but it was opaque with the very first coat. I only added a second coat to bump up the duochrome effect. It had a nice consistency. I considered layering this over a black creme, but I wanted to see how it would apply on its own and it did fine.
<strong>On my nails:</strong>
Milani Smoothe Base Coat
Sally Hansen `Black Tie` (Two coats)
Seche Vite Top Coat
I found this at Walgreens for $5.29. I`ve also heard it can be found at Walmart. It`s probably cheaper there.
