A few weeks ago I painted my nails with blue shades, so I decided to try purple. I used shades from OPI, Essie, Julep, and China Glaze. It`s not the same kind of ombre look where the lighter shade fades to a darker shade on one nail using a sponge. I just painted each nail a different shade of purple, from lightest to darkest. Polishes Used: -Thumb: OPI Steady As She Rose -Index: OPI Rumple`s Wiggin` -Middle: Essie Play Date -Ring: Julep Anne -Pinky: China Glaze Grape Pop I did two coats of each polish. I also used Milani Smoothe Base Coat and Seche Vite Top Coat. Most of the polishes I used are from collections, but I`m sure you can still find them. You can find OPI at Ulta and other salons for $8.50. Essie can be found at Ulta, some salons, and drugstores for $8. I got the Julep shade from a Julep Maven box. They are usually $19.95/month, but you can get your first box for only a penny with free shipping http://www.julep.com/?r=18321660 with the code `COLOR2012` It really is a penny...that`s how I first signed up. You can change your style each month or skip a month, so you don`t have to be charged every month. China Glaze can be found at Ulta and Sally Beauty Supply for $5-$7. They are cheaper at Sally Beauty Supply, especially if you have a Beauty Club Card.
