NOTD: Pumpkin Patch At Midnight

This is my first Halloween manicure for this year. I spent quite a bit of time sitting at my polishing table staring at polish, glitters, stamps, stickers, etc. trying to decide what I wanted to do. Because I already had urban Decay Grunge on my nails, I figured I would use that to create a backdrop of night sky. I noticed I had a few different stamps with images of jack-o-lanterns on them. I decided I would use those to create a theme of what happens at midnight when no one is out in the pumpkin patch. Perhaps those orange gourd-like fellows have a bit of fun while no one is watching. I wanted to give the pumpkins color but I knew that would be a bit difficult with such a deep background color already down. On top of that, I don`t have a huge selection of orange polishes to choose from. I do have a lot of Konad special polishes and assumed that would give me the best result. Even with the Konad special polish, the orange wants to blend into the blue. The polishes I used in the design are a Konad special polish in orange (for the pumpkin), Konad special polish in green (for the stem), Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Malt (for the branches on the accent nails), and a bit of NYC Starry Silver Glitter (for the stars in the night sky). I sealed everything in with a coat of Sally Hansen Triple Strong. I really should have used Seche Vite but the bottle wasn`t at my table and in a moment of laziness I just used what was in front of me. It worked just fine, but the Seche Vite would have given an over-all smoother finish to the manicure. If there is a certain theme you are interested in seeing, let me know and I`ll see if it is something I can work together. I am hoping to get at least a few more manicures up.
